It is widely acknowledged that school staff are dealing with more mental health related issues than ever before. In the UK, half of mental ill health starts before the age of 15 and 75% develops before the age of 24 (ONS 2018). But if we can build positive relationships with young people and intervene at the earliest signs of mental ill health, we CAN make a difference.
A whole school approach is the most effective way to destigmatise mental health and show support for young people. The following courses offer practical ways to support a young person and the skills to use early intervention with confidence.

"All children deserve the opportunity to flourish and fulfil their potential. I believe this is best achieved by promoting their self esteem, wellbeing and resilience.
A child who has good self esteem is more likely to be a confident, independent and emotionally intelligent adult."Natalie Hunt
